Gathering Cultures Trough Languages

Gathering Cultures Trough Languages is an eTwinning Project that involves several European countries.

This project will give us the chance to meet new people, learn different cultures / languages and it will also give us the opportunity to reflect upon diverse methods of teaching and to experience new ways of learning mainly through collaborative work.

. Aims:

To gather cultures through languages by:

. Improving our knowledge about other languages, cultures, and traditions;

. Reflecting upon our “identities” – discovering our similarities and differences;

. Showing respect for other cultures and languages;

. Exploring all the benefits of collaborative work by creating a reflexive (online) community based upon mutual understanding, diverse teaching methods, team work, innovation …

. Using technology in order to “abolish” space and time frontiers …

. Work process:

. To create a social network where we can develop our interpersonal skills by using the English language as the main communication support.

. Expected results:

. To get our students / teachers involved in collaborative and team work;

. To experience a new challenge;

. To learn different cultures, traditions and languages;

. To improve our writing skills (English);

. To exchange ideas, experiences, knowledge about common interests;

. To promote innovation as the leading “tool” for the challenges of the

Information/Knowledge society.

. Partner (s): Portugal, Poland, Greece and Turkey.
